Spotlight Developer, Ting Ting Huang

is a junior studying Business Information Management at the University of California, Irvine. Outside of her academics and internship, she is a passionate developer who values giving back to the community. Whether it be through her involvement such as directing HackUCI, Orange County's largest collegiate hackathon, or volunteering as a teaching assistant through the Microsoft TEALSK12 program, she believes we can contribute to a stronger community by sharing our wealth of knowledge and resources.

Ting Ting and her team competed in the recent CalHacks 6.0 event, held October 25-27 at UC Berkeley, and won first place with their implementation of Docusign into their project, EasySlip—an internal tool made to integrate with teacher/parent portals to manage online signage of student waivers, photo consent forms, and permission slips.

Her team built the app using a React.js front end and Python/Flask back end with the Python SDK, utilizing the Docusign eSignature REST API for remote envelope sending and Docusign ID Verification. The team incorporated tag anchoring features of the Docusign eSignature API to populate a preformatted PDF file representing a permission slip, and utilized Docusign ID Verification to verify parents' identities before allowing them to sign the envelope.

Post-college, Ting Ting hopes to pursue a career in high-tech project management or consulting. In her spare time, Ting Ting enjoys cafe-hopping, visiting art museums, and cooking/baking. She can be reached on LinkedIn.
