Starting in May in the U.S., the Docusign IAM platform will be available for businesses that are ready to break free of their agreement trap and transform their business.

There are universal pains every business has felt: crucial deals slipping yet another quarter, losing out on top talent in a competitive market, sales lagging because reps do more paperwork than selling, and not getting what you paid for because a mediocre vendor isn’t delivering everything they promised in their contract.

These moments add up. They cost businesses of all sizes time, money, and most of all opportunity. They cause frustration and have more in common than you might expect: they’re all symptoms of mismanaged agreements.

Agreements are the heartbeat of your business. They contain some of the most valuable, yet untapped, data you have. What customers actually value — the services and terms they’re willing to spend their cold, hard cash on — are right there, spelled out in the agreements they sign.

We can create a better way of working. Crucial deals don’t need to slip another quarter. Sales reps can focus on selling, not paperwork. Vendors can be held to keeping their promises. Many technology companies have been making their own push towards this idea; so much so, we think it will be the next category to transform business: Intelligent Agreement Management.

Intelligent Agreement Management (IAM) represents a new SaaS software category akin to CRM, HRM, and ERP. Just as those systems have digitized sales, HR, resource management, and procurement, IAM digitizes the way organizations make and manage agreements.

It’s time to bring our agreement tools and processes out of the filing cabinet and into the future.
