Introducing the Docusign Visual Studio Extension!
Table of contents

Docusign has just released its first extension for Visual Studio! This is a very exciting announcement for me to make, as I was personally involved in building this latest developer tool. I would love for all of you to try it and give us feedback.
Visual Studio (VS) is the world’s most popular Integrated Developer Environment (IDE), used by millions of developers all over the world. Microsoft enables developers to extend and enhance VS by providing the Visual Studio Marketplace, where the community can share these extensions. We decided that this would be a great opportunity to improve the experience of developers that are integrating with the Docusign APIs and are also using the VS IDE.
The new extension helps you quickly create projects or modify existing projects to use the Docusign eSignature API (other Docusign APIs may be added later). It automatically modifies your project to support all the necessary packages and configuration information necessary for the Docusign eSignature API to work correctly.
Sounds cool, right? But wait, there’s more!
In addition to configuring your project, the extension also allows you to pick from our full list of C# code examples and add these directly into your project (we hope to add support for additional languages later). This way, you can have a working piece of code in a preconfigured project ready for you to just hit F5 and see Docusign functionality in your application!
