Developer Spotlight: Kim Brandl, Microsoft
Kim Brandl is a senior developer writer within the Office platform team at Microsoft, where she helps educate developers and build developer community around Office Add-ins and the Office JavaScript APIs. Although her technical experience is rooted in the Microsoft stack (.NET, C#), she’s been focused primarily on web technologies like Node.js, jQuery, and JavaScript/TypeScript in recent years. Throughout her 20+ year career in technology, she’s worn lots of hats: developer, technical consultant, sales engineer, dev writer, and developer experience PM, to name a few. A teacher at heart, she loves learning new technologies and then using that knowledge to enable customer success.
During 2012 and 2013, Kim was a member of the Docusign team, joining initially as a sales engineer and later transitioning into the role of senior technical consultant within the Professional Services organization. These roles gave her an insider’s view of the Docusign platform and APIs and a true appreciation for the efficiencies that can be gained by a well-architected Docusign integration. Since leaving Docusign, Kim has provided technical guidance on several Docusign integration projects and has enjoyed supporting the Docusign developer community on Stack Overflow.
Kim makes her home in Kirkland, Washington, and when she’s not answering questions on Stack Overflow or thinking about how to make the world a better place for developers, she enjoys staying active and spending time in the great outdoors. You can contact her on LinkedIn and Twitter.
Tony Mann has been with Docusign since 2016, helping developers integrate Docusign into their apps. He is a published author and an expert SQL developer with a passion for developer education.
