John Santos has been developing Docusign solutions since 2015 and continues to use Docusign APIs to streamline and automate agreement workflows.

John Santos started his career as a Product Manager in the biotech industry, focusing on improving operational processes through technology. Originally from Portugal, John moved to the United States 35 years ago, learned English, and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry with a biochemistry emphasis from California State University, East Bay

Transitioning from biotech to technology, John aimed to enhance workflows and efficiencies, leading him to work at Wells Fargo, First Republic Bank, and Silicon Valley Bank. His Six Sigma certification helped him implement process improvements and drive digital transformation.

In 2015, John encountered Docusign eSignature technology while at Robert Half, where he developed a portal to generate DocuSign envelopes via APIs, significantly boosting operational efficiency and transaction volumes. At Spaulding Ridge, he helped clients optimize their document workflows using APIs.

Currently, at Pacific Life, John uses the eSignature API to automate and streamline manual processes, reducing routine task times and minimizing human error. This integration has highlighted the value of modern automation in improving accuracy, reliability, and freeing up resources for strategic initiatives.

Outside of work, John enjoys cooking, particularly Portuguese and Italian cuisines, and loves experimenting with new recipes. He is an avid traveler with a deep appreciation for Europe’s castles and history. In his leisure time, he hikes the scenic trails of the San Francisco Bay Area and spends quality time with his family. Connect with John on LinkedIn.
