At Docusign, sustainability is one of our core values, and we’re committed to reducing our emissions.

In 2022, we joined the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) Business Ambition for 1.5°C campaign and committed to cutting our emissions by 50% across the value chain by 2030 and reaching net-zero by 2050. This aligns with their goal to limit the global temperature rise to 1.5°C.

After submitting our pledge to SBTi for validation, we are pleased to announce that our near-term and net-zero targets have been officially approved. Here’s a summary of our targets:

        Near-Term Targets (by 2030)

        • 50% reduction in absolute Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 2030 (from a 2021 base year)

        • 50% reduction in absolute Scope 3 GHG emissions from fuel and energy-related activities by 2030 (from a 2019 base year)

        • 55% reduction in Scope 3 GHG emissions from business travel per employee by 2030

        • 75% of suppliers by spend to have science-based targets by 2028

        Long-Term Targets (by 2050)

        • 90% reduction in absolute Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 2050 (from a 2021 base year)

        • 90% reduction in absolute Scope 3 GHG emissions by 2050 (from a 2019 base year)

By setting these targets, we are aligning with our customers' goals to help them reduce emissions. We aim to expand opportunities to integrate emission reductions throughout our agreements, including within our supply chain.
