Madrid, DocuSign Nouveaux bureaux en Espagne et Italie

We are proud to announce the opening of two new Docusign offices in Italy and Spain, expanding and strengthening our operations in Southern Europe

These regions will now have dedicated sales, marketing and customer success teams allowing our customers in Italy and Spain to thoroughly benefit from a localised support system in order to digitally transform the way they prepare, sign and act on agreements.

Expanding Docusign’s presence in these important markets in the EMEA region is paramount to ensuring digital transformation becomes a priority for organisations worldwide. Italy and Spain are pioneers in the adoption and legal recognition of electronic signature, showing that Docusign is an essential tool in order to successfully navigate the complex world of hybrid working.

The electronic signature has been legally recognised in Italy and Spain since 1999, and both countries adopted the European Union's eIDAS regulation that standardised the recognition of the electronic signature in 2014. Electronic signatures use is wide-spread in Spain, including for legal documents, which are signed electronically before being submitted to LexNET Justicia, a platform for secure exchange of judicial information. Any response issued by a public authority is also filed electronically and therefore electronically signed.

Italy was one of the first countries globally to adopt legislation on the legality of electronic signatures and their use is commonplace throughout the country.

According to AGID (Agenzia per l'Italia Digitale), Italy now has more than 20 million active users of electronic signatures,

"This is a crucial time for us to expand our presence in Southern Europe," added Ronan Copeland, Group Vice President & General Manager EMEA, "the use of electronic signatures and certificates is widespread in the public and private sectors in Italy and Spain, and we are seeing strong organic demand for our electronic signature solution in these markets. We look forward to helping even more companies transition to a more secure, reliable and efficient way to create, sign and manage their digital agreements."
