This year marks the 60th anniversary of Dr. Jane Goodall's arrival in Gombe, Tanzania, which began her incredible and impactful career over the ensuing six decades (and counting). Her legacy of impact includes the launch of dozens of Jane Goodall Institutes in countries around the world along with numerous Roots and Shoots programmes to inspire the world's young people to care for people, wildlife and the planet. She is a fierce advocate for the natural world and its inhabitants and has appropriately been designated as a UN Ambassador of Peace.
Jane has also been a wonderful friend of Docusign. She helped us launch our signature impact initiative to protect the world's forests, Docusign for Forests, and has pushed us in all the right ways to continue to step up our environmental commitments.
Jane was not able to be in Tanzania as originally planned last month to celebrate the incredible 60th anniversary milestone, given COVID-19. But in typical Jane fashion, she has turned a setback into an opportunity and will be instead celebrating this incredible accomplishment for an entire year. And over the coming year, Docusign will likewise be celebrating her incredible legacy through a monthly blog and video series derived from her recent conversation with Docusign CEO Dan Springer.
To kick off the series, today watch this video of highlights from the joint launch of Jane's Legacy Foundation and Docusign for Forests at the World Economic Forum in early 2019. Future installments will cover her passion for the world's forests in more depth, her message of peace and hope for the future, and her inspiring personal story that makes you believe that anything is possible if you just don't give up.
