Attending the Higher Ed Summit? Learn how the UNLV graduate school transformed its student experience with Salesforce and Docusign: Wednesday 4/17/19 at 2:30pm.

From recruitment to alumni relations, a digital experience is no longer just a box for higher education leaders to check. Today, it is a key differentiator. A recent report found that 87 percent of prospective students factor in a school’s tech savviness during the application process.

The benefits of a digital student experience also extend to faculty and administrators, allowing them to use data to better support students and, ultimately, to improve progression and graduation rates. But many higher education institutions are missing the opportunity. Student retention is a top priority for administrators, for example, yet only 37 percent of institutions leverage data and analytics to develop student success initiatives.

Some higher education institutions are ahead of the digital curve to address these challenges. One example? The University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) Graduate College. Student success depends on communication between an institution and its students, and UNLV believes that a digital platform to enable that communication is essential.

That’s why UNLV’s Graduate College created the Grad Rebel Gateway, a student portal built with Salesforce and Docusign to digitize student interactions- from recruiting and admissions to job placement and alumni engagement. UNLV recognized the inefficiencies of their manual and disconnected system of agreement to prepare, sign, act on and manage contracts. They turned to the Docusign Agreement Cloud for Education, integrated with Salesforce, to help them simplify and accelerate the agreement process and improve the experience for students, faculty and administrators.

The Grad Rebel Gateway initiative promises to revitalize student engagement and improve key metrics for the school while also cutting costs for UNLV thanks to new operational efficiencies and reduced administrative burden.

Not Everything That Happens In Vegas Should Stay In Vegas

UNLV leaders will share the graduate school’s digital transformation story at this year’s Higher Ed Summit in San Diego. The presenters, Janine Barrett, UNLV executive director of systems and operations and Payam Ezatpoor, UNLV graduate systems and data analyst, will discuss enabling a modern, connected system of agreement with the Docusign Agreement Cloud for Education and Salesforce’s Community, Sales Cloud, and Higher Education Data Architecture (HEDA) solutions. Join the session to hear how they expect the initiative to improve the entire student lifecycle, from recruitment to alumni relations.
