Signer Authentication
Customers can select several levels of user authentication, including email authentication, an access code, ID check using a third-party ID verification service or biometric authentication. You may also use asserted authentication with API/Integrated applications.
Enterprise-class Electronic Signatures
Each e-signature includes a script signature, a unique ID number, and encrypted elements which make it completely secure and enforceable.

Only authenticated individuals designated by the document sender can read and e-sign DocuSign documents. Your documents are protected at all times by sophisticated 128-bit AES encryption and a SHA1-based MAC (message authentication code) algorithm. These cryptographic processes monitor and secure documents continuously, advanced methods used by the world’s leading enterprises.Confidentiality
Your documents and signatures are stored securely. Only you and your recipients have access to them. As a matter of policy, not even DocuSign operations staff can access your documents, and your documents never leave our secure SAS 70 type II data center without encryption. Backups are frequently performed and remain fully encrypted.Performance
Our hosted service reliably runs on an array of servers which are designed for and deliver rapid response times for enterprise class transactions. Our service is architected to enable it to be scaled horizontally.
