DocuSign Hires Grant Peterson as Vice President of Engineering

 

Technology veteran brings vast experience in Web-based technologies to leader in eSignature market

SEATTLE, WA (December 13, 2007) – DocuSign, the leading Web-based electronic signature service, today announced that it has hired Grant Peterson to serve as its new Vice President of Engineering and Technical Operations.

Peterson brings over 22 years of product development experience to DocuSign. For the past seven years he served as Vice President of Product Development at LexisNexis. In that role, he was responsible for product development of LexisNexis’ litigation solutions, leading its electronic discovery, court eFiling, electronic court record retrieval and case assessment. Peterson’s role in helping to create the court eFiling and court record retrieval markets for LexisNexis was substantial. The products for which Peterson was responsible delivered sales of $6 million in 2000, growing to $145 million in 2007.

Before joining LexisNexis, Peterson held the position of Director of Development at Primus Knowledge Solutions, Inc., a leading supplier of eService Internet support resolution applications. Earlier in his career, Peterson also held development positions at Halliburton Geophysical Services and Sierra Geophysics, Inc., and has been an instructor at Bellevue Community College.
